PostSubject: Gun Misfiring?   16/10/2010, 8:34 am

Hey guys,
So I pulled out my Cyma Mp5k PDW out to day to show some mates and let them have a go at it.
After around 3, 100 round Medium cap magazines and a 70 round mag the gun start to misfire.
It first started only misfiring a few rounds but after pulling the mag out are trying to find out what the problem was, It doesn't even fire at all and it only fires if you turn it upside down.
Btw if I pull the bb release on the magazine the bb's don't spray out if I'm holding it upwards, only if I'm holding the mag upside down it empties. Is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

P.S All three magazines that I have all don't feed into the gun. Is this a problem with the cheap magazines or the gun itself?

sounds like the spring in your mag has gone, if you need to hold it upside down to let the bb's out then its definatly the mags. its needs the upwards pressure to feed the next round

I have had this problem with Mid Caps for the ARES Scar-H, the easiest solution is to just put some more tension on the spring. I'm not sure how the MP5 mags work, but if you can pull the spring out and stretch it at intervals all along its length, then get it back into the mag, it will have more push when compressed. This wears out after a while and I have had to do it several times, but as a quick fix it certainly does the job.
