Anyone know what to do when your trigger completely locks up?
Like it acts like its on safety even though its on Semi.

Ignoring Terence's useless post seeing as the kid probably plays at WAR with weapons owned by his parents who wouldn't frequent the forums:

Bring it in. It's a fiddly process that you really have to be shown. It's relatively simple once you know what to do, but it's easy to screw up if you don't. It involves bypassing the trigger system and delivering power direct to the moter. Weapon dependant, you remove the motor plate and hook a battery up to an unjam wire (a little contraption thats just a batttery connector and 2 wires) and you touch the wires to their corresponding contacts on the motor. Makes the gun fire Full Auto, unjamming the trigger jam.

As I said, bring it into the store and get one of us to show you how to unjam it.

hahahah its sticky contacts noob, not a jam theres a difference, jams make a click, sticky contacts feel like its in safe when it isnt, just dont force squeeze it that is all.
it usually will fix it self up tbh but yeah how do you know he plays for war? why not ask the guys at war?.

Assuming he plays for war seeing as he is only 14, yet has a decent airsoft weapon, something his age would like and use.

And also Terence, a normal trigger jam feels like safe if you dont pull the trigger hard enough. Once you do, it just clicks over and then back forward again.

Your useful answer is welcome at here, however please do not post or reply if your answer is not useful when people is asking for help.

Everyone's situation is different and i don't think even you understand the law properly althought you've played the airsoft for a while.

young people can still play airsoft gun under supervision.

I will delete the useless reply next time without inform.

Regards

lol i dont assume things i played long enough to know that lol
what you guys call a trigger jam i call sticky contacts or "virgin contacts"
all you need to do was remove motor and wiggle gears till you hear click and done!
one more question do your parents play?

Uh you dont have to remove the motor at all. You can do it electronically like I explained, which is how we did it in the store that day.

Sticky contacts makes no sense. If your contacts were stuck your gun would go FA, not stop firing. Its the cutoff lever getting stuck halfway, not your contacts sticking.

EDIT: woops, didnt read properly. comments removed.

Where do you play then?

it doesnt fix the problem it only cures for a certain time, with the fa mod its a bitch to do if you dont know how to properly hence why i told him the easiest way to do it
and i think him and his dad are casual players at the armory. to permantly fix that problem would be a good batt and strong motor. and your gun doesnt go fa it wont reset and the trigger will feel stiff like if its on safety mode.

Yea, a good batt and strong motor is a good idea in any case. Plenty of people around who can unjam too, so not always necessary to be able to do it yourself, albeit rather handy.

Yeah hey guys,
anyway the problem was just your regular gun jam nothing big,
I play at the ASGC weekend games, my Dad comes along but he doesn't participate in the actual games.
I haven't played or joined any other game clubs so far

FA mod?? What are you on about? I'm talking about taking off the motor plate and making it go FA by manually touching the contacts at the bottom of the motor, you know, how normal people do it.

agreed all you need to do is create a second circuit that bypasses your trigger and selector, most commonly on the motor contacts but sometimes its easier in other parts on the gun. ie- ics l85A2, you split the recievers pull the trigger and slam them together causes them to go FA and clears the jam.

The bypass circuit doesn't fix the issue that it will jam again. Jamming = unreliability.

If it is not remedied properly it leads to the wearing of the plastic contact block wedge that leads to loss of semi-auto or broken/worn semi-auto cut off lever.

Good news is that there is a permanent fix.

Unfortunately the fix is no where documented online, and although a quick mod, it is still quite technical. It is known to work on V1,V2,V3,V6,V7,ARES TAVOR, Type 97. It does not work on the G&G/ARMY L85s.

It requires minor modification the contact block wedge surface as well as minor modifications to the semi-auto cut off lever. 5 minutes with a file and a pocket knife.
